Daikin Dash Tours at Daikin Park: Experiencing the Houston Astros Home Up Close

Looking for a quick, exciting outing in Houston? The Daikin Dash Tour at Daikin Park is the perfect family-friendly adventure for Astros fans and for those who are looking to do something quick and fun. Depending on the tour, it lasts around 1 hour, and depending on what time you go, you might get a private tour like us! We were in downtown Houston just roaming around, and one of the attendants asked us if we’d like to do a tour before they close, and we said yes!

Houston Astros Daikin Dash Tour at Daikin Park

What Is the Daikin Dash Tour?

The Daikin Dash Tour is a fast-paced, guided walk through Daikin Park (previously named Minute Maid Park), home of the Houston Astros. Perfect for families with limited time, this tour takes you along the warning track from the ivy-covered batter’s eye in center field, past the manual scoreboard in left field, to the Lexus Field Club, suites, and back. It’s a short but fun way to experience the ballpark’s natural grass field (our guide mentioned that grass costs MILLIONS and you can’t step on it), and iconic features, like the 19th-century locomotive that chugs when the Astros score a home run!

Daikin Park’s tours are a home run for Houston family activities! We had fun being on the field, behind the scoreboard, taking photos commemorating the experience, seeing the guest team’s locker room, and more. It was quick, easy, and the guides were really friendly and knowledgeable. We went to the store afterwards to buy even more Astros hats, woops!
