Hospitality Marketing: Hotels, Cafes, Travel
We all go out to unwind. We dine out or order in when we feel like we deserve something or a reward after a long day. We book hotels when we travel. We shop either out of necessity, feel good, or rewards ourselves. At the center of it all, the people or platforms we deal with are what make our experiences memorable, so we keep coming back (or not). Hospitality marketing focused on building emotional connections through promos, campaigns, or immersive experiences that make guests feel valued or welcomed. This industry has. also become so fast-paced and ever- evolving that we need to leverage data insights, trends, and creative content to stand out. I’ve worked with a few brands / companies within the industry that helped me appreciate even more the job and the staff.
Shangri-La Fort, Philippines
Shangri-La is already an established hotel in the Philippines. In 2016, the chain opened its location in Fort Bonifacio. How do you market differently from the other hotels in the area? By creating a city guide where Shang Fort comes alive. Powered by Shangri-la, we created a city guide within the proximity of the hotel, to help visitors and potential clients navigate their way in BGC on social media, boosted by creators, and highlighted by local vendors / establishments.
Teaser: the campaign was launched with a series of online videos featuring influencers and creators in the best places in BGC telling the audience ‘what makes BGC comes alive’ to introduce BGC as a destination, generate engagement around our personas, and create awareness around the hotel launch.
Launch: Local establishments and attractions were also tapped to showcase the city’s vibrant environment, attracting tourists to stay in BGC and Shang Fort. Posts were also boosted for more reach.
The campaign results exceeded all KPIs.
